“My introduction to ceramics began with my hands in the earth, excavating artifacts and studying fragments of pottery shaped hundreds of years ago. I saw ceramics as tangible capsules that hold memory of thought processes, spirituality, and cultural narratives of the past.”

“What began as a study in archeology, eventually became a personal practice… like past peoples, I too can express my heritage, thoughts, and muses using clay.”

“To create, to express, is deeply human and a constant across time and culture. This work is my piece of that continuum.”

She studied how the makers of the past are known by what their hands left behind. The practice is the same study, continued from the other side — not excavation, but deposit.

Hand-built accents

Handles, stems and stars shaped and joined by hand.

Glazed

Layered glazes — speckle, blush and celadon — food-safe.

Fired & recorded

Kiln-fired, then accessioned into the catalogue before it leaves.
